Streets of Manhattan

Luke shot James an amused glance as he stepped around some girl walking the other way as they left the building and hit the streets for the subway. "You said that Thursday too. Are you going to actually try, James? Because you kind of screwed it up."

James pulled a face at Luke, "Yes I'm actually going to try, I know I fucked it up the last time but its obvious she likes this Jake dude and I just need to butt out I guess, and move on."


[[Ashlee from the apartment]]

Ashlee was so annoyed of her roommate, but she was stuck with her and had no idea what to do at this point about it, plus her moving out would just mean that she let Oriana win. She sighed walking down the street she pulled out her phone going through her messages, she could have sworn she saw Luke and James walking in front of her.

She wanted to make sure it was them, before calling out to them so she texted Luke.

Okay not to sound like a creep but are you guys on 35th street because if so I'm walking right behind you

Luke sighed and was about to give a skeptic reply to James - he didn't think James beleived what he was actually saying at all - but then Luke's phone buzzed.

He read it as he walked and then laughed. He glanced over his shoulder. "Morning, Ashers. No harm in just calling out, you know? What's the worst two random strangers would have done?"

Ashlee quickened her pace to walk in between the two tall boys, "Didn't you hear? I'm famous, everyone wants a piece of me. Now I have my two bodyguards to protect me." She said wrapping her arms around their waists, "Morning boys." She grinned.

James laughed, "Morning Ash."

"So what's new boys?" Ashlee asked although they had all just seen each other less than twenty-four hours ago.

Luke grimaced at James. "Um...we need to get breakfast on the way. Wanna come?"

"Sure, I'm actually still kind of hungry all I had was an apple." She said putting her arms down by her side, "Where to?"

Luke shrugged and glanced around. He spotted a cafe nearby. "Hey, egg rolls."

"Egg rolls aren't breakfast food Lucas." Ashlee told him.

James laughed, "Ash it has eggs you know? Eggs are breakfast food."

Ashlee shook her head, "A donut would be fine, you know why don't we go to Tim's or something I really want coffee..."

James tuned out Ashlee and Luke, looking down at his phone, and going through Facebook noticing that Jake, Evelyn and Seth had been arguing at eight in the morning already? They sure knew how to start a week off the right way.

He scrolled through his music, and the application reccomended a song for him based of f what was already on his playlists, he took out his headphones plugging them into his phone, he pressed play and the lyrics filled his head and his eyes widened, its like his own music even knew how he was feeling.

James bit his lip, he went copying and pasting the lyrics into his status, not that he wanted to start drama but hey he just really liked the song it spoke to him.

Luke frowned at Ashlee, and then gazed at the cafe again. "TIm's is too far." He sighed. "We're gonna be late." He glanced at James and added, "You all right?"

James saw Luke talking to him he couldn't really hear though, he turned off the music and put his headphones away, "Where are we eating?" He asked.


"We'll grab something from here, I hope they have more things then egg rolls." Ashlee said walking into the cafe.

Luke rolled his eyes at the back of ashlee's head and followed her. "Your face kind of twitched," he informed James. "That's all."

They went up to the front and Luke decided, in the spirit of annoying Ashlee, to order egg rolls. They'd be easy to eat in class too.

"One order of egg rolls," the girl behind the counter said. Her eyes looked puffy from lack of sleep. Either that, or a hangover, Luke decided. It didn't stop her from giving him and James a onceover though.

James shrugged, "Didn't notice." He snorted at Luke's order,"Ash is gonna kill you, they have donuts you could have gotten her one you know?"

Luke sighed and added a doughnut to the order. "Happy?" he asked Ashlee. THe girl gave James another lingering glance and waltzed away to get the order. Luke drummed his fingers on the counter, inhaling the rich aroma of coffee and greasy food.

Ashlee grinned, "Yes, yes I am."

James nudged Luke, and lowered his voice, "And apparently the girl taking our order is happy to see you too." He winked.

Luke blinked. Was James that clueless? "Yeah, I'm sure she is," he humored James. The girl came back and asked them if they wanted a drink. Luke shook his head. He was already too late.

She brought out their orders and Luke fiddled around for his walet. "Now we have to run."

Next day

Seth, Connor, Evelyn and Alexis from Dorms]]

Evelyn and Alexis led the way to the subway. As they headed acorss campus, she said, "I like the idea of bringing them along. Connard's not faring well."

Seth winked at Connor. "I know she's hot and all, but control that lust, guy. She's Jake's girlfriend."

"She's in a OPEN RELATIONSHIP." Connor said loud enough for Evelyn to hear. "So she's ALL GAME FOR ME, right baby?"

Alexis fllinched, hearing her bastard of a cousin. "... Do you still like the idea?"

Evelyn's eyes wiened in disbelief. What the hell, he'd gone from moody to bullshitting in three seconds flat?

She swung around, walking backwards, eyes narrowed at the tall brunet walking beside Seth. "I would be, but I don't do interspecies relationships, connard."

Seth winced. He shot Alexis an amused glance and waved his phone at her, hitting the camera button and aiming it at Connor and Evelyn.

Alexis' lips twitched into an amused grin, as she watched all three of them.

"Bring it, CHICKA." Connor purred sarcastically, and did a pelvic thrust in the air.

Evelyn stared him down, and then stopped walking backwards in case she tripped. "I just told you, no. How many times do I have to reject your advances, Connard?" she asked sweetly, turning around to walk down to the subway platforms.

Seth glanced over Evelyn's shoulder, reading the metro map. A train hurtled in and he said, "Board, ladies and um, pimps." He glanced knowingly at Connor.

Connor shot Seth a look and flipped him off before getting onto the subway train.

Alexis snickered quietly and followed them on, going over to some empty seats and sitting down.

Alexis followed beside James, taking turn with holding Frankie's leash as he sniffed just about everyone and anything he could, just happy to be out and walking around.

"So, where are we headed anyway?" Alexis asked, looking up at James.

James shrugged looking for anywhere, he was hungry, "I don't know, if you see a sign that sees pizza point me in that direction."

"Mmm." Alexis nodded, keeping an eye out. Soon enough she spotted one and pointed at it. "Bingo."
