Freshmen Dorms

"I know!" Seth bent and scooped her up into his arms before she could say anything. He tore off on a drunken run across the quad and set her down when he got to the parking lot. He pointed over at the silver convertible across the road in a parking. "A Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder," he said, eyes shining as he looked at his beloved car.

Rosemary stumbled a bit from being dizzy from Seth's stupid drunk run. The idiot. She shook her head and blinked till her vision was back to normal. She paused, looking over the beaut of a car and ran her fingers over it gently. "...How fast does it go?" She grinned.

Seth flashed a small smile. "It hits sixty-two mph in four seconds, good enough?"

"Daaaammmmnnn..." Rosemary said quietly, staring over the details of the car. Her inner tomboy was showing again as she ran her hand over it gently. "Can I see the inside? Please?" She asked, turning to look up at him with excited eyes.

"Anything," he answered readily, like hell he'd refuse her! He pulled the remote out of his pocket and clicked the unlock button. The car gave a soft beep twice; its lights flashed. Seth walked over to the driver's side and pulled open the door for her, raising an eyebrow.

Rosemary slipped in, sitting in the drivers seat and grinned, feeling like a child on Christmas. As much as she hated the kid, Seth was a GOLD mine. Oh- Oh hell, she could make him BUY her one of these tomorrow! She felt a jolt of excitement burst, running her hand along the steering wheel. "Damn, I want one so bad."

"Yeah, they're not cheap. I had to grovel for my dad to get me one, and then signed myself up for a lifetime torment in the family business," Seth said mournfully, moving to lean against the hood.

"Yeah, I know." Rosemary said, looking over the interior very closely because honestly, this would probably be the only time she'd ever be this close to her dream car. Ever.

Seth was blinking like crazy, fighting to keep himself upright. "Um, you think we could maybe go back in? I'm just really - " he stifled a yawn - "tired and I think the alcohol killed my brain. And I don't have my key either. I left it home 'cause I didn't wanna drive drunk. We can only sit in it."

Rosemary let out a mournful sigh and nodded, getting back out and shut the door. "Alright, fine. But you are taking me for a drive in it tomorrow." She grinned.

"Whatever you want," Seth repeated sleepily. he clicked the lock button, gave his car a fond pat, and began walking to the dorms again with Rose. He was afraid to lift her now, because his steps were kind of unsure and he didn't want to drop her and mar her perfection!

"Careful, stumble-y." Rosemary chirped, smirking as she watched him walk. She let her hair down as her ponytail was giving her a bigger headache then she already had and went back into the dorm building with Seth, going over to the elevator and pressed the floor she knew Alexis' and Ev's dorm was on, as Alexis had already told her to stay the night there with her in her room since it was way to late for Rosemary to try and go back to her apartments, alone.

When they finally reached the fifth floor, Seth declared (loudly) that he would escort Rose to Alexis' suite.

He dragged her by the hand down the hall to the girls' suite and banged loudly on the door, a wide, sleepy smile on his face. THen before the door opened, he turned to Rose, announced, "I have to go prepare myself for a surprise for you tomorrow!"

Then he waddled down the hall to his suite.

[[END DAY!]]

((Next Morning.))

Alexis and Rose ended up in Alexis' room while Ashlee slept on the couch. Alexis stumbled out of the room long enough to get a bottle of water in the fridge, trying to be quiet but noteded that Ash had her headphones from her i-pod in and could faintly hear some noise from them so went to the fridge normally, grabbed her water and went on back to her room, only to crash back in the bed, Rose sleeping on the floor.

Seth's eyes were incredibly blurry when he woke up. There was a sense of urgency that prodded him from sleep, telling him he was wasting the day, hungover or not. He sat up dazedly, noticing the puke bucket one of his roomies must have placed beside his bed during the night.

Wait. He hadn't hooked up last night? He remembered being around several hot girls back then. Why was he waking up alone?

Speaking of girls....something nagged at his mind. A redhead. Seth sat up slowly, a frown scrunching his eyebrows together while he tried to remember why this redhead was important.

Who was she, anyways? He blinked hard and then -

A wave of realization crashed over him. In those few moments, Seth's head had been clear, free of whatever enchantment he'd been in the previous night. He could see his Lamb in his mind's eye, a pretty redhead in the driver's seat. He never let any girl touch that seat.

Now it added up. Rose. And he'd let her in his car because, well, she was his everything.

Seth bounded out of bed, ignoring his hangover headache. Rosemary. Why was he wasting time lying around?! He was such an idiot!

He hustled out of his room and swiftly changed, washed his face and brushed his teeth. He had to freshen up, of course! He showered, changing into a nice gray button-down over a black wifebeater and jeans. He combed his hair swiftly and after ensuring he looked good for her, he sauntered out of the bathroom.

He paused. How exactly would he go about this? He knew she was at Alexis'. But simply going over empty handed didn't seem so good. Not good enough for his lovely rose!

Seth brooded for a moment as he went to the kitchen and began making himself some toast. And then as he was pouring coffee beans into the coffeemaker, he paused, an idea lighting in his brain.

Seth finished making two slices of toast, on which he spread butter, and then went ahead and toasted a bagel, spreading herb-and-garlic butter on that, and then went even more ahead.

By the time he was done, over an hour (possibly two) later, he was worn out as he placed the last platter on the dining table.

Piles of french toast, stacks of pancakes with maple syrup running down their sides and globs of butter on top, hash browns, baked beans, Benedict eggs on English muffins, scrambled eggs with cheese on top, the toasted bagel and bread sandwiches, sausages and bacon strips, strawberry milkshake, chocolate milkshake (for variety), and eventually the hazelnut coffee Jake had shown him how to make one day.

He pursed his lips and set about packing two portions into brown bags and Tupperware containers and then went and emptied his schoolbag and carefully placed the boxes of food in them, trying not to dislodge the pancakes too much. He left the rest of the food for his roommates since there was really way too much. He poured the three drinks into three thermoses and crammed them into the heavy backpack at the end.

Then Seth, displaying a presence of mind that probably saved his life, grabbed the rope Jake had left in the hall closet, tied it around his waist, put his arms through his backpack straps and then pushed open his window. Before leaving, though, he went to the kitchen and grabbed a butter knife, then picked up his phone, tucked it into his pocket and clambered out onto the ledge outside his window.

Holy shit, it was cold. But he'd lost so much time already. His head ached and he didn't dare look down because his vision was still not that much better, although dashing around the kitchen had helped clear his head some.

He slowly made his way along the ledge, cursing the morning dew. It was about nine AM now. Rose would be asleep, but he would wake her!

Seth arrived at the window one down from Evelyn's, and peered inside, seeing through the window blinds and spotting Alexis' form on the bed. He couldn't see Rose though...hopefully she was here.

He pulled out the butter knife and slid it under the window. There was a soft click as the latch gave way and Seth probed the bottom of the window, got a good grip and slid the window up. He squeezed in through the gap and dropped down onto Alexis' bedroom floor with a quiet thump. His head swam as he stood up.

He spotted Rose's bright hair almost instantly and his heart gave a happy thump. Now to wake her. Seth glanced at Alexis, faltered for a second as confusion hit him - was he really into Rose? Since when? - and then brushed it aside happily. He was here. He had a goal.

Seth set down his backpack, walking carefully over to where Rose lay in her sleeping bag. He dropped down on his knees beside her, taking a second to stare at her loopily. She was really quite possibly the best looking girl he'd ever seen! And she was his!! And she'd said they would spend the whole day together...or something, right?

Seth turned and dug around in his backpack. He pulled out the containers of food, arranged them by her and took out two disposable plates and cutlery, setting them up beside Rose's sleeping bag. He put the three thermoses by her pillow and then extracted his iPod and inserted the earphones carefully into Rose's ears, trying not to fall on top of her as he leaned over her head. He scrolled through his playlist and found a sappy love song and hit Play, turning the volume way up.

"WHEN I SEE YOUR FACE, FACE,
THERE'S NOT A THING THAT I WOULD CHANGE.
'CAUSE GIRL YOU'RE AMAZING, AMAZING,
JUST THE WAY YOU ARE!" blared from the earphones.

Rosemary's eyes shot open and she screamed out of fear which only woke up Alexis who too screamed from Rosemary scaring her by screaming. Rosemary ended up, jerking up and fell back, her head snapping against the bookcase behind her and she yelped in pain, quickly scrambling back up and rubbed at her head. She blinked away pained tears and looked at her attacker, AKA Seth quickly and tried to figure out what the fuck he was doing here. Then she remembered- he was OBSESSED with her.

"What the fuck, Sethan!" Alexis shouted, throwing her pillow at him. "GET OUT! GET OUT!"

Seth had yelped in fear when Rose started screaming. And then he yelped again when Alexis woke up and began screaming too. And then she hit him with a pillow which hit his eye. So he screamed again.

Evelyn rolled over and fell out of bed, heart thudding in her chest. Screams came through her wall connected to Alexis' room. She scrambled up, ignoring her bruised arm, and pulled open her door, darting into the hall and pounding on Alexis' door. "What's going on? Are you guys okay?!" she demanded, in a worried hiss, since Ashlee was somehow on their couch asleep. Why was she here?

Seth rubbed his stinging, reddening eye and blinked slowly at Rose, confused. "But I - I can't leave until you eat! And I'm really hungry 'cause I had just chips last night and nothing this morning, but I figured I should bring you breakfast first so..." he stammered confusedly, pointing at the dishes beside him, which had miraculously survived the screamfest/pillow-tossing.

Evelyn pounded on the door again. "Alexis?! What the hell?" she asked, freaked out now.

Alexis went to throw something else as Seth but Rosemary quickly stopped him. "Alex! Alexis, stop!" Rosemary shouted quickly, holding up her arms. "I'll explain later!"

"...EXPLAIN TO ME WHY SETH JUST BROKE INTO MY DORM ROOM, NOW!"

"I can't, ju..just get over it, I'll make up for it later!" She said quickly and looked at Seth. "I'm sorry, is your eye okay? This was very sweet of you. You just scared us."

Alexis stared at them in disgust and slowly got up, going over and opened her door.

Evelyn tumbled in, almost tumbling to the ground facefirst in her panic. "What's going on?" she demanded, wide-eyed as she straightened. "I heard screams -"

"I didn't mean to scare you," Seth said sadly to Rose, still completely uncertain as to why this had all gone so horribly wrong. He scratched his ear and then shot Alexis and Evelyn a glance. "I just thought it was a nice surprise because I noticed there wasn't much food left yesterday so I figured you'd be hungry," he said, returning his blue eyes to Rose again. "I'm sorry!"

Seth apologizing?! To Rose?! This is wrong on so many leve - is that breakfast?! Evelyn clutched Alexis' arm so hard her fingernails left marks. "Oh my....oh my God," she whispered, eying the breakfast spread by Rose's bed. "Alexis....oh no, please don't tell me Seth drank the potion and it...worked."

"It did. On Rosemary. And Ashlee. And JAMES IS AFTER ME." Alexis started to shake Evelyn. "This is YOUR fault, FIX IT!"

Rosemary patted his shoulder. "It's okay, Seth. Thank you." She smiled warmly, and felt sick to her stomach for it but honestly... she could get used to this, however she reminded herself that this was good-boy Seth on a curse.

Evelyn tried to talk but gave up because Alexis was shaking her. She pulled away hastily, and stammered, "Wait, what?! James is, oh....crap." Realization hit her. "So who's after Ashlee? And where the hell did James come in from?" she asked, confused. She pointed at Seth. "This isn't that bad, though, look!"

Seth was looking as content as Lucifer being petted. He sent Rose an adoring smile. "Anything for you, fair Persephone!" he declared, suddenly back to his earlier chipper self now that she didn't seem upset. "Ooh, try it!" He picked up a random container which happened to have french toast cut into little hearts. "The French toast? Or the eggs Benedict?" He held up the container. "Or do you want a milkshake or coffee maybe?"

"Rose is taking it pretty well," Evelyn added truthfully. She'd kind of expected Rose to scream, bitch-slap Seth and run away.

"Um... toast and coffee." Rosemary smirked some.

"Seth is after Rosemary, James is after me, and CONNOR is after Ashlee. THEY however are very.. very stalker creepy." Alexis said, sounding annoyed and pissed off already.

Evelyn had to fight a sudden urge to laugh. James was possessed by stalker creepiness? Shocking. Karma got him good there.

She fought to keep her grin off her face though, noting Alexis' expression. Truth be told, she felt kind of glad the potion backfired on hr. She had regretted saying Connor's name the moment she said it.

"Well, it backfired. Nothing to do but wait for it to wear off," she said to Alexis truthfully.

Seth was pouring out coffee into a cup for Rose and he held out the buttered toast to her. "O, you can keep the rest of it and eat it later!" he exclaimed. Evelyn stifled a giggle.

Alexis shot her an annoyed look. "You're sympathy for this situation is heart warming." She said coldly.

Rosemary grinned slowly. "Thank you, dear. " She said and took the toast and the cup. "...Have some yourself, kay?" She said, figuring there would be PLENTY left over.

Evelyn was about to reply to Alexis when she heard Rose. She quirked an eyebrow, wondering why in the hell Rose would be playing along.

And then it hit her. Seth, of the Black Amex and Lamborghini. Seth, who under this spell would clearly do whatever Rose wanted. Evelyn felt a grin tug at her lips and she nudged Alexis. "Rose got the cash cow. You can't deny there's some perks to this! Damn, I'm hungry now." She turned and headed out of the room to shower and make breakfast.

Seth was extremely relieved. He was hungover and starved and had been running around for the past two hours so he gladly grabbed one of the English muffins with egg and bit into it, feeling his stomach erupt in happiness. Clearly, this whole love business was no easy thing. Between mouthfuls, he swallowed and said, keeping his eyes fixated on Rose like a parched survivor in a desert who'd spotted a water bottle, "Oh, and afterward, I'll take you to buy new shoes because I ruined yours last night! His eyes widened. "I'll get you better ones!"
