Freshmen Dorms

"NOVA!" Alexis shouted firmly and went over, flicking Nova's nose. "BAD! Bad dog!" She scolded and frowned, grabbing him up and grabbed his leash, hooking him up to it and went over to the table, tying the leash to a leg so he couldn't move any farther. "Sorry Luke, did he break skin?"She asked, looking over quickly.

Nova growled low in his throat. Luke pulled a face at him and then sat up onto the couch, examining his bitten hand. "Not really. I think his teeth are still too small to do real damage." He examined the slight crescent moon of teethmarks on his palm. "Wow, battle scars. Are these impressive or what?" he quipped, lifting his head to shoot Alexis a pained grin.

Evelyn had reached the lobby by now and was strolling across the quad to the subway entrance. She pulled out her phone again and texted Alexis. Did u invite him?

"Looks like a baby werewolf bite." Alexis grinned, grabbing her phone before going over to sit by Luke. Yes She simply sent back

Evelyn grinned as she waited on her platform. Should I come back late?

Luke pulled a face at his hand and stretched lazily, reclining his head back on the couch cushions. "So, what's new with you, Lex?" he asked tiredly. "I heard about your psycho neighbours down the hall."

Alexis rolled her eyes and put down her phone, before leaning back. "You mean the one with the killer cat? Nothing new really- the blond one," Seth's new nickname, "is always trying to get in my pants and...yeah. You?"She smirked some.

Evelyn smiled as she entered her subway train. She replied to Alexis: Lexi. ;D Dont hurt Nova's virgin eyes. Some cute guy chivalrously stood up to let her have his seat.

Evelyn took it and flashed him a brilliant smile. "Why can't NYU be filled with guys like you as opposed to the creeps we have?"

He cracked a grin as he walked off. Evelyn sighed as she changed her song playlist.

Luke's eyebrows shot up. "Seriously?" he asked. Alexis sounded so nonchalant. "It doesn't creep you out if he's throwing innuendos?"

"A little but he's more an ass then anything and I've put a few dents in him already from that ring of mine." Alexis grinned at Luke before faintly remembering, that he'd KNOW what ring... She cringed and grabbed her phone before her eyes went wide and her face went red. IhateyouIhateyouIHATEYOU.

Luke paused for a second before it hit him. THAT ring.

His hand flew instinctively to his jaw. "Oh?" he siad cautiously. "How'd he fare with the ring?"

Evelyn replied: De Nile aint a river in Egypt hun. I think its cute tho. U on ur own w/him?

Alexis glanced over at him before just nodding a little. "Uhm.. his hand and jaw is probably.. permanently bruised." Alexis said calmly, trying to cool her cheeks as she replied quickly to Evelyn. Yes, I am. Now shut up. x_X

Evelyn replied instantly Well theres creeps on this subway n I need to look busy! D: So...whatcha up to?

Luke nodded, feeling Seth's pain. "he did seem kind of like an ass," he said bluntly. "But he seems to have taken a liking to James and Connor."

Nova yipped from his prison, brown eyes wide.

"That's because Connor is an ass and James isn't picky." Alexis said bluntly back. "Um- no offense, but..nevermind."She cringed and rubbed at her arm a little, looking over at Nova and frowned. "No, Nova."

Nova's head dropped as Evelyn replied: Ur TALKING? God Lex! N they call me a virgin.

Luke wondered why Alexis was so red in the face. "Yeah, James fits in with that crowd. Something wrong?" he asked her.

IT'S NOT LIKE I'M GOING TO MAKE OUT WITH HIM! Alexis sent back, all caps to for some reason prove her point better and jumped when Luke voice broke through to her attention again and quickly hugged her phone to her. "Um... noooothing."

Luke tilted his head questioningly. She was really blushing. Alexis never really blushed a lot. His forehead crinkled as he frowned. "Um...are you sure you're okay?"

Evelyn replied: Methinks doth protests too much. ;D

"Um.. Evelyn's being a bitch." Alexis said, not meaning that in the total cruel meaning as she hesitatingly glanced at her phone again and replied. "Nothing unusual?" She joked, glancing back up at him. "She's on the subway so she has to "look busy" so she's bugging me instead."

Luke raised an eyebrow but said nothing except, "So you and Ev are cool right?" He straightened up and yawned. "Sorry, I'm freaking beat. I was with Ashlee last night way longer than I realized and had a huge homework backlog as a result. Been at the damn library all day." He reached up and ran a hand through his short unruly hair.

"It's fine, if you wanna nap or something you can, at least it's quiet here." Alexis said, staring at the text, really wishing she could just do that so Evelyn would leave her alone about it.

Luke turned and eyed Alexis, serious now. "I don't know if Evelyn told you....my new roommates, um...you know them," he said hesitantly.

Nova whined again piteously.

"..I do?" Alexis looked up at him, raising her eyebrow.

"Yeah I get ya, but I wasn't even looking to get laid. Okay well I'd be lying if I said I wasn't but, I just wanted to chill with her is all, get to know her a bit besides the times we come bulldozing her door down." Antonio snorted, thinking back on that Saturday they invaded their suite.

Jake waved his hand, "Details, those are all minor details! Listen dude, you saw what happened to James and hell I'm lucky I'm not like him. So just save yourself the trouble. I'm saying get out while you can, I should have listened to Darko." Jake advised Antonio, not that he was so sure why he was being so mean talking about Evelyn to Antonio.

Antonio looked down for a minute and thought, he remembered how James had been on a couple of occasions around Evelyn, he did sound like someone who needed to get over their ex, "Yeah I hear you I guess, it sucks about James though then. Bro needs like an intervention or something."

Seth snorted as he emerged from the kitchen. "He needs to grow the fuck up and realize love is bullshit."

He paused by Jake, throwing him a questioning glance that clearly said "What the fuck are you trying to do?"

He glanced at Antonio. "I know her roommate and I've hung with Red a few times, Tony. She's cool. You can relax."

He stretched. "And I dunno about intervention. His friend Ashlee said he just needed time, dude."

Luke swallowed, uncomfortable. "Um, yeah...Joel and Taylor. Joel Madison." He looked away from her, suddenly losing his cheerful mood.

"Dude, intervention sounds so cool, we could shine some bright ass light in his face while wearing black suits all, Men In Black style." Connor said cheerfully with a wide grin.

Alexis' face paled and she stared at Luke, before quickly adverting her eyes to her phone, now suddenly wishing Evelyn would text her again. JOEL?! Oh all people on earth, JOEL?!

She swallowed down a sick feeling in her gut and told herself to push it away, why the hell should she care? She didn't. It was more shock and "oh fucking GREAT."

"Oh really? Go figure." Alexis said, a completely natural tone.

Luke bit his lip. For a half second, Alexis' eyes had betrayed her. But now she was composed again.

Luke leaned over and gingerly placed a hand on her shoulder. "Lex?" he asked softly.

"..Hm?" Alexis said hesitatingly, her eyes flickering back up to look at him, gripping tightly onto her phone.

Luke blew out a breath and dropped his hand. "Nothing. No one told him you were here," he added quietly.
