"I don't even remember, to be honest. What WAS the reason?"Alexis asked with a eyebrow raised in question as she grabbed another piece of her food with the chopsticks and worked on that piece.

"I think it might have been James' player tendencies, but in his defense, he'd stopped after he met Ev...just that circumstances were ugly for them..." Luke finished off his rice and took a drink of water. "So, I guess we just keep them away? But that's ridiculous. What if, say, one of us wants to celebrate a birthday and we want them both there? I'd want them both there for my birthday. James has been my best friend since kindergarten and Evelyn's like the older sis I've never had." Luke grimaced slightly.

"They're gonna have to find out at some point, Luke. What if they run into each other on their way to a class? I say we just tell them the truth and take the yelling now instead of later and after they get even more angry at each other on facebook, ya know?"Alexis said as she grabbed her water, taking a sip before putting it back down.

She played with her other roll a bit, trying to figure out what to do.

Luke finished his wrap, and wiped his mouth on a napkin. "Maybe you're right. They have this weird tendency to not IGNORE, ya know? Like, if I hated someone's guts, I'd just kick them off my friends list."

"It's because they still like each other, and prooobably in the back of their minds don't want to fully let go, as much as they'd despise to ever admit it."Alexis said, finishing her own food and put her chopsticks down, grabbing her napkin.

"Evelyn hurt him, though." Luke finished his glass of water and set it down carefully. "I mean, I know James. She broke his heart. I'd say he deserves a bit of closure now."

Alexis nodded thoughtfully. "...Evelyn is just bitter, it seems like. It's more coming from her side- the hatred. James is more hurt, than anything but I think if I ever brought this up to Evelyn, I'd have to get a new dorm."She smirked slightly, running her finger tip along the rim of her glass.

"What does she think James feels?" Luke replied, stretching. He cracked a smile. "Hm, but you're right. I say we get them face to face sooner rather than later. Ideas?"

"Get the gang together to hang out so we have back up when they see each other?"Alexis put the idea out, knowing they would most definitely need someone there in case they went off the deep end and completely laid a dent in both them. She blinked and glanced at her phone, trying to figure out if they still had time for soccer.

She had lost track of time.

Luke caught her look. "You wanna head out now?" He signalled the waitress for their bill.

"If you're ready too also."Alexis said, grabbing her wallet thing from her front pocket.

"On me?" Luke said firmly, taking the bill pocket from the waitress. Before Alexis could reply, he stuck his waiting credit card inside it and passed it back. The waitress smiled and walked off.

Alexis opened her mouth to retort before slowly closing it, deciding that by the tone of his voice, that it might not be best to argue against it. "...Next time's on me."She said simply and slipped her wallet back in her front pocket, picking up the soccer ball from beside her feet.

Luke took his credit card back from the waitress and put it away, picking up the bagged boxes of takeout. "You wanna test out the gym on campus? I haven't been there yet." He led the way to the door, holding it open for Alexis.

"Thank you- and sure, sounds better then needing to walk back to the subway from the park and then to the dorms."Alexis said as she stepped out, playing with a strand of her hair a bit as she stepped aside, waiting for Luke.

Luke led them to the subway entrance across the streeth and they hopped on, getting off at the Greenwich stop near campus.
