Bloomingdale's

Evelyn and Alexis got off at a subway stop a few minutes from Bloomingdale's. Evelyn checked her map again and then led them down the street.

"Here we are!" She grinned as the big Bloomingdale's sign came into view, and sped up.

Once they were inside the store, Evelyn dragged her roommate to a rack containing Daisy Dukes. "Just in case we decide mine don't fit." She held up a light-blue pair of Daisy Dukes and checked the size. "These are somewhat comfortable and not too high either." She stepped backwards and snagged a pink and blue layered camisole off a rack. "Try these," she said, shoving both articles into Alexis' arms and pushing her to the dressing rooms. "Come out with them on."

Alexis stumbled into one of the booths from Evelyn's pushing and such. She shut the door behind her, gnawing at her lip with regret from ever saying they could do this, but she knew her and Luke had rescheduled so she kinda had too.

She puleld off her jacket and top, and etc before switching into the clothes that Evelyn wanted her to try on and stepped back out into view for her.

Evelyn assessed her critically and then shook her head. "Nope." She had been collecting a few items of clothing and now she settled on a pink bolero sweater. "Wear this over the shit. You can take it off if you feel too hot." Her lips twitched and she added, "No sexual innuendo meant, of course." She handed Alexis a pair of black track shorts that came down to mid-thigh.

Alexis blushed just slightly and glared at her before taking the clothes and went back into the dressing both, changing into the jeans and put the bolero sweater on over the camisole before stepping back out, pulling her hair up now.

Evelyn grinned delightedly. "Man, I'm good." She dragged Alexis over to a jewellery counter and draped a metallic-links necklace over her head, doubling it so it lay in layered loops on Alex's chest. The links had fake blue gems embedded in them, accentuating the blue her eyes and in the camisole.

"This way, it'll work even when you take the pink bolero off," Evelyn explained. She stood back and tilted her head, then stepped forward and undid the clasp in Alexis' hair, loosening it and arranging it around her shoulders. "Your hair is longer than mine," she said wistfully, missing her once-lwaist-length curls. "And it looks gorgeous open." She snagged a pink fabric hairband, slipping it over Alexis' head and using it to keep her hair back. "There. Practical and cute. Luke won't be forgetting he's playing with a cute girl any time soon."

She added metallic and plastic beaded bracelets to Alexis' wrists. "There. You're done." THen she shoved her friend in front of a mirror. "Girly enough?"

Alexis blinked, staring at herself in the mirror. To herself- she almost looked like a stranger she had to admit, before she grinned in amusement, her eyes clearly showing it. "Whoa Ev- I think you might send Luke into shock if I show up like this."She said, turning around to look at her friend. "...Thank you though."She smiled.

"You look awesome," Evelyn concluded, grinning. "And you're wrong. I so want Luke to see you like this and go into shock." She pushed Alexis back ot the dressing rooms. "Get changed and I'll buy this stuff."

"Nooo, I'm gonna buy it, you picked it out!"Alexis said from the booth as she changed back into her clothes, trying to figure out how she was gonna change before going to meet Luke without Evelyn seeing. Hopefully she'd be out and she could then. She changed back into her proper clothing before stepping back out.

"No, Lex," Evelyn rebutted, snatching the clothes from her and running for the cash register, "you can pay me back."

"Evelyn!"Alexis whined and ran after her quickly. "Fine! You get something expensive when we go out for dinner then."Alexis said, standing at the counter by her. "Got it?"

Evelyn smirked and passed her Visa over. Once the clerk returned it and handed her the bags, Evelyn said, "You didn't hear me right. When I say, repay, it isn't monetary."

Alexis' eyes narrowed in slight concern for herself and frowned deeply. "...What do you want then?"She asked as she took the bags.

Evelyn grinned. "Nothing big, just that you and Luke go out on a real date," she said flippantly, like it was no big, as they crossed the busy street to the subway entrance.

"THAT WE DO WHAT?!"Alexis yelled, as she stood by Evelyn's side, her face going red with embarrassment and frustration. Several people around shot her dirty looks for being her being loud, and yet curious looks at the same time.

Evelyn patted her shoulder as the subway pulled in. "You're making it sound like I'm asking you to bang the guy, Lex." She snickered.

"Y-..you.. you are.. YOU! UGH!" Was pretty much all Alexis could reply. "You set me up!"Alexis said, more upset with herself that she fell for it, watching as people piled out of the subway before stepping into it.

Evelyn attempted to stop her giggles but they escaped at the look on Alexis' face. "I didn't set you up," Evelyn protested laughingly, following her onto the traincar. "It just...worked out my way."

Alexis slumped down into a free seat. "You're not even being fair... asking Lucas on a date is going to be IMPOSSIBLE and really really freaking awkward!"Alexis said, frowning at Evelyn, as she gnawed at her bottom lip like her usual hard thinking or nervous matter.

"Oh come on, Lex, just think of those adorable dimples," Evelyn commented, and then paused to smile flirtatiously at a college kid in the seat next to Alexis. He got up and offered her his seat.

"Merci beaucoup," Evelyn whispered as he passed, and then she plopped down next to Alexis. "As I was saying..."

Alexis opened her mouth to retort before thinking about it and gave Evelyn a annoyed look. "You do not use a man's best trait against me."She said bluntly as she tugged at a strand of her hair.

Evelyn smiled, knowing she was getting there. "He won't turn you down, you know?" she said, now serious. She glanced up and realized the kid who'd given her his seat was now watching them. Evelyn quickly dropped her gaze back to Alexis.

Alexis blushed once more and tugged at the strand even more. "It's like asking out my b-"She started before looking over to the left when she was intterupted.

"I'm sorry but I couldn't help but to hear your conversation. Anyone in their right mind asked out by either one of your ladies wouldn't turn down the offer to go out with either of you. Don't be so worried about it." Trevor said, giving his million dollar smile. "I'm Trevor."he said, holding out his hand.

Evelyn blinked and then hesitantly shook his hand, feeling conscious of his stare. Her face began to burn and she glanced at Alexis, hoping he'd let her hand go. "Um...nice to meet you?" She wasn't ready to give out her name yet.

Alexis moved slightly even more away from the guy who suddenly butted in. Since Brett at the party she had been a little more cautious of random guys talking to her.

Trevor smiled and let go of her hand after a moment before looking at them. "Do you two go to Xavier?"

Alexis just shrugged at him, staring at her iPhone as if to tell him to bug off.

Evelyn bit her lower lip, possibly making it bleed. "NYU," she said, voice casual. Over Alexis' shoulder, she saw her friend at her Facebook app.
