Luke turned to Connor after smirking at James. He was honestly glad James was "over" it. He knew his friend was lying through his teeth. But he liked this cover of James'.

Even though James really deserved to sulk for a bit.

"Hey, we should do something this weekend," Luke said. "To commemorate the whole first-week-at uni occasion. Any ideas?"

Connor bit the inside of his cheek, thinking. "We could all go and get drunk."He joked.

"That sounds amazing." James and Ashlee said together at once.

Luke snorted. "James, you can't. I'm not cleaning up your mess," he said jovially. "What else?"

Alexis kept quiet while Luke, Lola, and her sat at the outside table at wherever they had all gotten a bite to eat while she messed with her phone. She frowned at the mass text from Evelyn, and furrowed her brows. Seriously?

Luke's phone buzzed at the same time Alexis' did. He read the text and then pulled a face. What the hell?

He glanced up as he put his phone away and caught Alexis' weirded out expression. "Your phone..." Luke cleared his throat awkwardly. "Did....Ev text you?"

Lola snorted reading the text, "I got it too. It was probably that idiot. He always did stuff like that the second he got a hold of my phone, its why mine has a password on it now."

Alexis paused, staring at Luke with an "so now we're good enough friends to talk?" kinda look before glancing at Lola. "Mmm, I dunno. Evelyn's gone off her bonkers too." She shrugged.

Luke frowned. What did that mean? Evelyn had seemed fairly sane to him last he'd seen her on Monday when he went to Connor's. Except she'd seemed upset.

He figured he'd ask her later. He texted back Since when?

Lola shrugged, "I don't know just seems very Jake like, unless Evelyn does stuff like that I don't know, I don't know her all that well."

James picked up his phone going through his contacts he texted Luke.

You free? Kinda having a breakdown

Luke was about to tell Lola that Evelyn wouldn't send out a text like that unless she was really, really trashed but his phone buzzed in his hand again. "She'd have to be beyond drunk to do that," he replied. "Ev doesn't drink."

He didn't realize he was being ironic.

He glanced at James' missive and his eyes widened. What the hell? What's going on? He's not having a breakdown over that text, is he?

That would be stupid. Luke texted back quickly, Dude shes kiddin.

Alexis ran her fingers through her hair, gritting her teeth as she thought.

How the hell did she "heart" him?

James read Luke's message of course he thought that James was freaking out for the text.

He wasn't sure what to tell him, but he just needed him there.

"She seemed a bit out of it last night." Lola commented remembering having been there when James had pulled her mask off.

"She could have wrote it last night or something? And Jake being an idiot sent it out." Lola stated.

Luke glanced over at Alexis instinctively. She looked perplexed. His gut instinct when he read James' next message screamed "go go go!"

What could upset James that badly?

Or who?

Who made more sense.

He stood up abruptly. "I gotta go. Somethng's up with James." He bit his lip and then glanced at Alexis again. "You might want to check in on Evelyn."

Alexis propped her feet up before looking up at Luke. She gave a half hearted nod. "She was trashed last night."

Lola started to realize that this was already starting to turn into something ugly.

She made a note to call Jake, she got up saying, "Go check on your friends, I have a class anyway." She said getting up and leaving the student center.

Luke shot Alexis a funny look.

And then it clicked. Alexis, dressed like...that. Evelyn had probably been with her. "Was she in full prostitute garb too?" It shot out before he could stop it.

"It was her idea." Alexis said sharply back as she shot him a look.

Luke's jaw dropped. "What?" he asked, dismayed. Virgin Evelyn made up that shitty plan? No way. No freaking...

"You think I came up with it by myself? She came up with the idea. Sounded like fun so I went with it. It was all nice and fun till she decided to get high on something and you had to open your mouth. Look- Lucas." Alexis stood up, grabbing her things. "I get it- I fucked up in Ashcreek. Sorry for trying to fix it." She turned, looking up at him. Her eyes were a steely gray due to her mood. "I messed up, I fell in love, I forgot my friends and I left you guys behind. Why do you think I avoided you in Demont? Because I KNEW. I wanted to try again- but I guess it's just impossible because now you think I'm some slut who just wants to be r-raped again. I get it."

Luke felt his phone buzz and he glanced down at it as he punched a button. Not the text, James said.

What else could it possibly be?

Luke gritted his teeth. Did she really have to do this right now? "Are you for real, Lex?" he snapped. "You go along with Ev's crazy-ass plan after all the shit that went down. How would a bunch of losers leering at you while you paraded around in that thing you call a skirt have anything to do with fixing things?"

"What else am I suppose to DO Luke?! Please tell me, because I don't fucking KNOW!" Alexis shouted now, throwing her arms out as if to add to the dramatic effect but really didn't aim for that. "Evelyn was the ONLY one there for me, I just wanted to be around someone, but I fucked up with that too, I'm SORRY, okay?! I'm sorry that I'm probably the worst fucking friend on the whole fucking entire fucking planet, I'm sorry that I have no fucking idea what to do with myself, and I'm SORRY that I was fucking raped!"

Luke felt himself flinch. He hadn't meant that...that last bit. He hadn't meant that at all. He glanced at his phone to buy himself a second before he looked up at the brunet. "I'd love to stay and fight it out with you on where exactly you messed up but i have a friend who needs me." He said this bluntly.

"..O-Of course not. Because you say what hurts most and then you walk away."Alexis muttered and turned her head to the side, clenching her jaw.

Luke closed his eyes, lifting a hand to massage his forehead. He didn't know if he should be thoroughly unnerved by James' message or horrified by the turn his and Alexis' conversation was taking.

He exhaled heavily. A releasing sigh. "Okay, know what, yeah, maybe I do. Maybe I'm tired of being stepped on all the damn time, Alexis. But whatever. James needs me more than I need to fight with you. So good freaking day."

He kicked his chair out of the way, knocking it over in the process, which was more unlike him than anything he'd done so far - Luke loathed outward displays of anger - and stalked toward the exit.
