"I don't have treasures!" Seth said, going a little cross-eyed when the umbrella hit his head -

EEEEUUUURRRNNNHHH!

Seth stumbled backwards and landed on his own seat, hands over his ears. Ashton dropped his phone in shock.

"Ashlee!" Luke yelped, nearly falling off his seat. A hostess poked her head out of the kitchen area and sighed, withdrawing.

Evelyn had her hands over her ears and Nova was nowhere in sight. She got to her feet, grabbed her book and blanket, and walked to the other end of the plane, where a few joined couch-like seats made a sort of lounge. She curled up on the end of one couch, spread the blanket over herself and resumed reading.

"Hey, Peter Pan! Control Tinkerbell." Jake mumbled, going back to his seat he saw Nova cowering underneath because of the fairy duel and picked him up and sat him in his lap as he returned to his seat.

"Hey since Jasmine left me are you gonna be my pal Abu?" Jake asked petting Nova affectionately.

Ashlee made a face and turned back to Luke, "Sorry." Then she narrowed her eyes back up at Seth, "You do so! And I plan to steal them all."

"Since when'd Tink turn into such a plunderer?" Seth demanded, strutting past Ashlee and taking his own seat. He waggled an eyebrow. "Aren't you supposed to be sucking up to me and being ridiculously jealous and pretty damn mute?"

"I think you have it the other way around Peter Pan." Ashlee told Seth, going to sit back in her seat.

Seth asked the hostess for a straw. Once he had one, he crumpled up pieces of notebook paper from his bag and began peppering Jake across the aisle with spitblls. One landed in Jake's ear.

"SCOOORE!" Seth whooped, raising his fists in victory.

Jake getting annoyed with Seth's spitballs got up with Nova, and went to the back. He spotted Evelyn huddled on one of the couches reading, so he decided to sit on the one across from her. He was sort of tired though so he lay across the sofa letting Nova walk around on his chest.

He tilted his head towards her and asked, "Whatcha reading?"

She cringed a lttle and bit the inside of her cheek, not looking up and choosing not to answer as she flipped a page. She really didn't feel like she was under obligation to have to talk to him. Nova proceeded to drool on Jake's shirtfront.

Evelyn sighed, reminding herself that holding this against him was unfair. Sure, she could avoid him like the plague, but acting like an outright bitch was uncalled for. "Some French novel," she mumbled resignedly after a moment.

"Is it written in French? Ooh is it one of those sappy romance ones? I know my mom had one of those sappy Spanish ones, it was all like." Jake picked up Nova, "Ay Armando my love, you will always be my love." Jake imitated a Spanish woman.

"Ay Maria mi corazon! You are mine forever! Even though I love your hotter twin." He said in his accent, making kissy faces at Nova.

Evelyn stared up at him for a moment and then cringed. She'd kill herself before she listened to soaps like that. In any language.

"No, it's not -" she paused an looked back at her book. "Never mind."

"Oh..." Jake said lowering Nova back down onto his chest, "So what is it about then?" He asked a bit more seriously.

Evelyn heaved a slightly frustrated sigh. WHy was he so intent on talking to her? He had to know she was feeling particularly anti-social toward him. "Does i really matter?" she asked, running her pain-free hand through her hair. Her right hand ached holding up the damn book so she set the novel down clumsily and frowned at Jake across the coffeetable. "Seriously, don't you have a Disney battle to handle?"

"Actually Tinkerbell tapped out, Peter Pan was throwing spitballs at me. So Aladdin and Abu here." He pointed to Nova, "Decided to come back here and check out the every feisty Jasmine. Although it was actually to get away from Seth." Jake grinned. "Isn't that right Nova?"

Nova barked in agreement.

"Awesome, I'm sure the hostess will appreciate that," Evelyn said shortly, picking up her novel and hiding her face behind it again.

"Your mother is being very anti social, you'd think being around two such outgoing specimens like ourselves she'd learn to lighten up more." Jake conversed with Nova like he was another human being.

Evelyn clenched her jaw, resisting an urge to toss her book at his head. She breathed out slowly, adjusting the blanket over herself, and then firmly placed her eyes on the book on her knees.

Jake raised an eyebrow at Evelyn, the old cold shoulder. He was never fond of this but nonetheless he was sort of used to breaking silence with her by now. Jake set Nova down on the ground and got up stretching out a bit. He then went and lay on the couch she was sitting on resting his head near her legs.

The stupid trans music had been stopped a while ago since most people were asleep by now. Evelyn could hear every word Jake was singing perfectly. And unlike his English atrocity of a singing voice, hsi Spanish one was a stunner.

Evelyn responded by slamming closed her book, and using her left hand to smack the side of Jake's head with it as she sat up and let her feet fall to the ground. "Can't you just leave me alone?! What's your damn problem?!" she exploded in a furious hiss.

"Mi amor no hay necesidad de angustia estoy aquí para aliviar con mi voz angelical. Mi bella esposa. " Jake gazed into her eyes, ignoring his pounding head since Evelyn had smacked him grabbing her left hand and kissing it.

She groaned, frustrated and somewhat cornered. "Jake, stop! Just - please just stop," she pleaded wearily, yanking her hand back and clasping it with her other. It stung and she unclasped her hands quickly, stifling a gasp of pain. Evelyn's shoulders dropped. She didn't want to be an outright bitch to him, but she really had no wish to interact with him unless it was at a government office.

Jake had ignored her again and tapped his fingers on the couch, "Hey Red, do you believe in fate?"

You gotta be kidding me!!! Evelyn ran her hand through her hair, right hand cradled in her lap. "No, I don't. I refuse to believe I was fated to be tortured at your hands."

"You really don't believe that whole everything happens for a reason stuff? I mean I'm just wondering is all..." Jake said to the flustered Evelyn.

She sighed and looked down at him, deciding to give up trying to get him to shut up. "What are you on about? Because I get the feeling this question came from somewhere."She toyed with her sleeves and then rubbed a thumb gently over her injured knuckle.

"I'm just saying you gotta wonder what if right? Like you know? I mean do you ever wonder if we really control what happens to us? Or its just supposed to happen cause its what God or whoever wanted to happen to us?" Jake wasn't sure why he was saying any of this to her, he had every once in a great while would get into these kinds of discussions with Lola when they were drunk. But it was very rare, and he wasn't as drunk as he usually was when these conversations would happen.

Evelyn blinked down at him, now somewhat curious. He sounded almost sober now. "What happened to you that's making you question fate?"
